We finally made it past 1 year we set for ourselves to start doing work on the property. We put off landscape work till we knew what everything was and where everything would be at after 1 year, including the creek water level on high water. Once our year was up and we documented plants and trees, we would be ready to start the process.
Our first thing to do was a vegetable garden. We bought seeds and started them in our neighbors greenhouse. So we built a garden fortress to keep the deer & animals out. Our land is a traffic cut over for most animals in the area. We get lots of Black Bear & Deer.
We rented a skid-steer loader and some attachments for a month and now are in the process of doing work on the creek bank near the garden, so when it floods it won't flood the garden.
